What state can learn from Indore water tragedy

The complaints of supply of contaminated water in households is quite common in Hisar, Bhiwani and almost all other townships in Haryana. A similar situation, and sometimes worse, prevails in rural areas. But the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has an oft-repeated response to the complainants—‘there was some leakage in the water pipes, which is being repaired’.
