US President Donald Trump announced a “total and complete blockade” of all sanctioned oil tankers entering or leaving Venezuela, sharply escalating pressure on Nicolas Maduro. Calling Venezuela a “foreign terrorist organisation,” Trump accused its regime of funding crime through oil revenues and said the blockade would continue until alleged stolen US assets are returned.
