US failed to learn its lessons

Refer to ‘The inmates are running the asylum’; the US appears confused and the real purpose of attacks remains unclear. Paradoxically, a smaller nation like Israel seems to be shaping the actions of the far more powerful US. Washington must recall its bitter lessons in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan, to name a few. The unprovoked attacks by the US and Israel on Iran have triggered global economic tremors. More importantly, the Minab school bombing that killed over 160 girls has not only angered Iran and the world but also shaken our collective conscience. Given its deep stakes in regional stability, India must urge restraint, press for dialogue and champion diplomacy before more such tragedies happen.
