The spirit of joy and spiritual fervour took centre stage, as Sri Aurobindo International School, Patiala, and Auro Mirra Centre of Education united to celebrate 'Ullaas', marking the 148th birth anniversary of Mother Mirra Alfassa. The day commenced at the school campus with a soulful meditation session, followed by a solemn flag hoisting. The atmosphere shifted from tranquil to triumphant as the sports achievers of both the schools were honoured for their year-long excellence. Guests then gathered for a warm exchange over tea and snacks, joined by the chief guest, Kundan Gogia, Mayor of Patiala. The festivities migrated to the SAIS Ground in SST Nagar for a vibrant fete and cultural showcase. Chief guest Harinder Kohli, Senior Deputy Mayor, inaugurated the evening session. The ground was a kaleidoscope of decorations, featuring stirring renditions of Vande Mataram and high-energy Bhangra by SAIS, complemented by a graceful classical dance by Auromirra Centre of Education students. The venue was lined with diverse food stalls offering local delicacies, alongside creative skill games that challenged and delighted children. The excitement peaked during the lucky draw, where the crowd gathered in anticipation of the grand prizes. From artisanal crafts to interactive play zones, the fete was a vibrant testament to the collaborative efforts of both institutions. The event concluded late in the evening, leaving the community inspired by The Mother's message of light and harmony.
