The committee has been tasked with conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances leading to the fatal accident and recommending preventive measures to ensure such incidents are not repeated across Mumbai. The panel includes the Deputy Commissioner (General Administration), Deputy Commissioner (Zone 7), and Deputy Commissioner (Infrastructure) as members. The committee has been instructed to submit its findings within seven days. Additionally, the commissioner ordered that the contractor responsible for the alleged negligence be blacklisted for violating prescribed safety standards.
