Maharashtra has emerged as the top-performing state in the World Bicycle Day Challenge 2026, covering 61,174.49 km collectively, according to official rankings. Punjab and Uttar Pradesh followed in second and third positions. Organised by the Fit India Movement and Sports Authority of India, the nationwide event promoted cycling, sustainability and fitness across more than 6,000 cities in India.
