Maharashtra Govt plans New Policy To Regulate Transition Of Aided Private Colleges Into Private Universities

The state government plans a policy to allow aided private colleges to become private universities. A committee led by Dr Bhushan Patwardhan will draft guidelines covering academic standards, infrastructure, funding, staff protections, reservation norms, and fee regulation, aligning with existing laws and NEP 2020.
