Karnataka leads centre in AVGC support, aims to create 50,000 jobs by 2028: IT/BT minister Priyank Kharge

Karnataka IT/BT minister Priyank Kharge said that Karnataka aims to create 50,000 jobs in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector by 2028, claiming it leads the country in supportive policies. The state hosts over 300 studios and set up an AVGC Centre of Excellence with Rs 150 crore funding. It will also host GAFX 2026, a major global AVGC conference.
