Indore Water Tragedy: HC Summons Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Says Article 21 Includes Right To Clean Drinking Water

The Indore bench of MP High Court termed the Bhagirathpura water contamination tragedy a “public health emergency,” stating that the right to clean drinking water is part of Article 21. The court summoned the chief secretary for January 15 and issued strict directions to the state and IMC, including supplying safe water, health camps, pipeline repairs, testing, and long-term water safety measures.
