The Indian Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Modi, has greenlit an initiative to significantly upscale medical education in the country. The plan introduces 5,000 new postgraduate and 5,023 undergraduate medical seats by 2029, with a funding outlay of Rs 15,034.50 crore. This aims to increase healthcare accessibility nationwide.
