India among 7 countries expected to add over 500 million city residents between 2025 and 2050: UN

The UN said India and six other countries will drive more than half of the worlds city population growth between 2025 and 2050, adding over 500 million new urban residents. The World Urbanisation Prospects 2025 report noted that India, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Bangladesh and Ethiopia — home to 30% of the global population — will shape the future of global urbanisation.
