Government to roll out tranche II of coal gasification VGF soon

The coal ministry is set to launch a second round of viability gap funding (VGF) of approximately Rs 2400 crore for coal gasification projects. They are also collaborating with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) to facilitate the sale of byproducts like methanol and green hydrogen.
