EAM Jaishankar, Marco Rubio discuss ways to formalise critical mineral ties

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. They discussed formalizing a partnership on critical minerals. Trade, energy, defense, and technology were also covered. The leaders agreed on early meetings to advance shared interests. A trade deal was welcomed, reducing US tariffs on Indian goods. Jaishankar also met Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
