Actor Tamannaah Bhatia recently revealed on entrepreneur Vineeta Singh’s podcast that she once used onion juice as a haircare remedy to tackle split ends and hair breakage, though the strong smell made it unpopular around others. She noted that onion juice feels cooling and should be left on the scalp only briefly, preferably during summer. Dermatologist Shweta Nakhawa explained that natural remedies like onion juice and fermented rice water contain nutrients that may temporarily strengthen or smooth hair, but they are supportive treatments rather than cures for hair loss. She advised using such remedies with caution, maintaining hygiene, doing patch tests, and focusing on overall scalp health and balanced nutrition for long-term hair care.
