Doctors call off strike in Haryana after suspension of six security personnel

The strike by government doctors across Haryana was called off on Sunday evening after the suspension of six more security personnel, including four home guards, following the intervention of Karnal DC Uttam Singh in an alleged case of assault on a doctor at Community Health Centre (CHC), Gharaunda, by police personnel on the evening of Holi. The decision to end the strike was taken during a state-level meeting of the Haryana Civil Medical Services Association (HCMSA) on Sunday.
