Cinema chain PVR INOX faces CCI investigation over fair trade breach

The Competition Commission of India has ordered an investigation into PVR INOX. This follows a complaint from a movie producers' body. PVR INOX allegedly charges a digital cinema equipment fee. Producers claim this fee is unfair as the digital transition is complete. The CCI director general will investigate the matter. A report is due in 90 days.
