Cane used by teacher pokes into Class X student’s eye in Virudhunagar

A Class X student, J. Vishal, suffered a serious eye injury when the cane used by his Social Science Teacher, Kumar, accidentally poked into his left eye on November 17. According to the victim’s father, T. Jeyavel of Kalligudi, the teacher used the cane to beat up a student in the classroom. However, the cane accidentally hit the left eye of Vishal, who was sitting next to him.
