Following allegations that an unregistered doctor worked in V.N. Desai Hospital ICU, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has ordered a fresh verification of medical staff credentials across its hospitals. The decision came after a BMC General Body meeting and a State Human Rights Commission notice. Officials said outsourced ICU staffing and recruitment lapses are under review system-wide.
