Pune-Bengaluru Green Highway Approval Delayed? ₹50,000 Crore Project Faces Funding Hurdles - The proposed Greenfield Highway will begin from the Pune Ring Road and pass through parts of Satara and Sangli districts before directly connecting to Bengaluru. The project, estimated to cost around ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 crore, is among the 25 green highways planned across the country. Under the Bharatmala initiative, around 20,000 acres of land will be required for acquisition.
