AI could cause 99 percent unemployment by 2030, warns AI safety researcher

AI safety researcher Roman Yampolskiy warns that artificial intelligence could trigger 99 per cent unemployment by 2030. He believes that artificial general intelligence (AGI) will arrive as early as 2027 and these machines capable of human-level intelligence will be capable of automating both digital and physical jobs.
